Gerrard Confirms Plans For Deadline Day Departure For Rangers Midfielder

|

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard confirmed last night that midfielder Jordan Rossiter was set to spend the rest of the 2018/19 campaign out with League Two side Bury.

Speaking to Sky Sports in his post-game press conference after we secured Scottish Cup progression in a 3-1 victory over Cowdenbeath on Wednesday evening, the gaffer confirmed that the 21-year-old former Liverpool Academy graduate would complete the move on Thursday and remain at Gigg Lane until the end of the season.

With injuries hitting Rossiter’s time at Ibrox heavily, he only has five appearances to his name this year, the spell out should give him the opportunity to play catch up and put those issues behind him and then Rangers may get the opportunity to make the most of his obvious talent.

Gerrard also confirmed that he didn’t expect to make any further additions before the transfer window slams shut later this evening as he was ‘happy and satisfied’ with his dealings so far this month.

“Regarding outs, Jordan is very close to joining Bury. He’s been down there all day and it is 99 per cent done. We have had no respectable bids for any of our other players.”

At least it seems there will be no late ‘outs’ either.
