Ex Rangers manager Alex McLeish won his first trophy in English football yesterday when Birmingham lifted the league cup. But is it his biggest achievement so far?

Huge underdogs going into the game, Alex McLeish’s Birmingham City, with ex Rangers captain Barry Ferguson in midfield shocked everyone with a 2-1 victory over the mighty Arsenal FC. A team who had recently beaten Euro giants Barcelona. A blunder from the Gunners defence gave sub Martins an easy tap in to win the cup for the Blues.

Speaking after the game, Big Eck said this is the greatest achievement of his career. Quite a statement from a guy who as a player won the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup and European Cup Winners Cup with Aberdeen. And as manager of Rangers won several leagues and cups including a treble.

Is he right to say this is his best achievement or was he caught up in the moment at Wembley yesterday. Let us know what you think on the article comments. Forum or on twitter or facebook. We also have a poll on the site.
