Rangers have been drawn away to Dundee in the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup.

The ties for the last eight, an all Premiership affair, were confirmed following the Peterhead v Dundee game on Monday evening, with James McPake’s side coming out on top, as expected.

As tends to happen around cup draws, a quirk has been thrown up with Rangers league game at Dens Park on 20th March meaning back to back games in the city of discovery.

Despite the chance of three derbies in this round, we ended up with none but all of the sides will be relatively happy with the outcome, especially those who have avoided the Old Firm and in the case of those who did, they have home advantage to launch their assault.

Last time out at Dundee, earlier this season, Rangers claimed a very narrow 0-1 win thanks to an early Joe Aribo strike. This time around and with both games in mind, there is plenty of room for improvement in terms of the performances on the pitch. All that and more lies in wait next month.
