Rangers are quite literally stumbling into the play-offs in second place, which is what we now hold having drawn at relegation threatened Livingston on Wednesday to move above of Hibernian.

On Saturday we’re in action against, and away from home again, when we take on Dumbarton at the Bet Butler Stadium.

Stuart McCall goes into this without a ‘ fresh injury concerns’ but Richard Foster and Seb Faure are still out along with a couple of the ‘Newcastle Five’ Remie Streete and Shane Ferguson.

McCall has spoken about a fifth-match in two-weeks seeing a bit of ‘stiffness and tightness sneaking in’ but is aiming for the right result so we can have positive week with the squad resting up.

Dumbarton are missing Chris Turner (suspended) following his recent sending off with injury ruling out Chris Duggan (knee).

We know now that if we match whatever Hibernian do between now and the end of the season we’ve secured second place and a ‘slightly easier’ play-off path but can we get a win from this one?
