Rangers moved back into second in the Championship ahead of Hibernian, and basically have that finishing position in our own hands now, but we did this with a one-one draw on Wednesday against a Livingston side battling against relegation!

Hardly a convincing way to signal our intentions to make sure we do get back into the Premiership, but what we do for the remainder of the season and then in the play-offs I suppose is the main thing….

Hippolyte thought that he had put Livingston into an early leave at the Almondvale Stadium when he had the ball in the back of the net in the opening minutes, but with ‘keeper Bell dropping the ball under pressure from White the finish from Talbot’s cross was ruled out for what was deemed a foul.

The main Rangers ‘fireworks’ in the first half came from the stands, as they were set off by the fans in the stands!

Livingston might be at the foot of the table but they would have felt they were on for a fourth straight win when Hippolyte (47) put them ahead with a freekick, he curled home from 25-yards, minutes into the second half.

We weren’t behind for long mind with Zaliukas (49) heading us level within minutes. Vuckic delivered an Zaliukas did the rest.

McGregor was denied by Livingston ‘keeper Jamieson as was Vuckic by the post with the Newcastle loanee fortunate not to be sent off, he was booked late on for ‘simulation’ but could easily have seen a yellow card, at least, in the first half for an elbow as the game ended in a draw.
