Lots of Rangers fans have been lauding the “unbelievable” movement of Ally McCoist during a legends match with AC Milan back in 2012, after the club shared a throwback post with highlights of the clash on Twitter.

Icons of the Rossoneri visited Ibrox eight years ago to take on an XI brimmed with Gers greats, and the script was written perfectly for McCoist to steal the show when he found the back of the net just two minutes into the second half.

McCoist entered the action at the break to replace Michael Mols, and would bring glorious memories flooding back to those in attendance when he headed home Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s pinpoint delivery.

While the delivery was perfectly weighted to where McCoist wanted the ball to land, the two-time Premiership top-goalscorer still had to outmanoeuvre Alessandro Costacurta, much the admiration of Milan legend Paolo Maldini.

Ibrox was sent wild celebrating the man that brought 10 Premiership titles home, and lots of supporters still consider the now 57-year-old to be the Gers’ greatest centre-forward.

Here are some of the messages shared as fans lauded McCoist for his goal and the movement which led to it…
