Nicky Clark will follow in his fathers’ footsteps after signing a three year deal with the club.

The strikers’ dad Sandy made 64 appearances, scoring 22 goals back in the 80’s for the club and he’ll no doubt have one eye on breaking his old man’s stats once he’s officially announced on September 1st.

The former Queen of the South player found the net 41 times in all competitions last season and with the club winning SFL2 as champions and lifting the Ramsdens Cup, it was no surprise to see him named as PFA Division 2 Player of the Year.

The 21 year old could be a major signing for Ally as we continue to move forward.

Speaking to the Official Site he said.

‘I was here last year with Queen of the South but just putting the top on, what a feeling it is. As soon as I heard Rangers were interested in me I didn’t want to go anywhere else. This club is amazing, the fanbase here – in the third division there was 48,000 plus at Ibrox. I want to be part of the journey back to where this club belongs in the SPL and in Europe.’

Clark also said that Rangers’ additions so far this summer morethan show the desire and determination of the club and Ally McCoist to get us back to the top because every addition is top quality and will push us on.
