Millwall have joined the race to sign Motherwell winger Jake Hastie, rivalling Rangers for his signature this summer, according to The Scottish Sun.

The paper say that the English Championship side watched Hastie in action against Kilmarnock on Saturday, with Rangers, Celtic, Hull City and Middlesbrough also all tracking his progress.

Hastie’s current deal at Fir Park expires at the end of the season but he’s been offered a three-year contract by the Steelman.

That has not yet been signed and it looks likely he may choose to continue his career elsewhere.

The 20-year-old has burst onto the Scottish Premiership over the last couple of months, scoring four goals in his last five league appearances and also netting in the Scottish Cup.

The arrival of Glen Kamara in January is proof that there is significant talent in the rest of the division that can brought to Ibrox and polished up.

Hastie looks like one of the outstanding prospects in the rest of the division and on a bargain free transfer it makes perfect sense we would be interested in his services.

Can we fight off the opposition and sign him up on a pre-contract?
