According to the Scottish Sun, Rangers have agreed a deal with Celtic for Scottish youth goalkeeper Aidan McAdams, which would see him become one of a few players to cross the divide between the bitter rivals.

Scotland’s U17 keeper at the European Championships last year, McAdams has been at Celtic since he was eight but he is reportedly set for Rangers in a deal that could eventually cost as much as £150,000.

McAdams, 18, had been attracting interest from clubs in England but the Sun understands it’s Rangers that ‘have won the race’ to sign the keeper after Celtic agreed to let him cross the Old Firm divide this summer.

Assuming a deal has indeed been ‘thrashed out’ as claimed, McAdams will allegedly put pen to paper on a three year deal at Rangers and will them aim to become the number one for the Light Blues and Scotland in the years ahead.
