Rangers produced an excellent first half performance at Ibrox on Sunday, scoring the goals needed to beat Scottish Premiership league leaders Hearts 3-1.
It followed on from a similarly excellent win against Rapid Vienna on Thursday night in Govan, giving Steven Gerrard’s side serious momentum heading into the international break.
At the heart of both wins has been Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos. He scored two goals and created an assist against the Austrians and yesterday netted again, also providing another assist.
His finish against Hearts was just delightful, flicking Daniel Candeias’ cross into the net with a backheel.
With 11 goals and six assists in all competitions this term, he’s providing the kind of attacking contribution we need to compete for trophies.
