On-loan Rangers winger Ryan Kent says he would consider making his loan switch from Liverpool permanent, when asked by reporters.

The 21-year-old arrived at Ibrox in the summer on a season-long loan deal and has become a firm fixture in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven, especially impressing over the last month of matches.

Whether Liverpool would be open to selling him remains to be seen but it appears that the player, rated as worth £1.35m by Transfermarkt, is at least is open to such a transfer.

As quoted by The Scotsman, he said:

It’s something I’d consider. Definitely.

The fans are amazing here. The club has a lot of history. It’s an amazing club, but that’s a conversation they will have to have with Liverpool – not me.

The fans seem to really enjoy players getting forward, that suits my identity as a footballer. I really enjoy picking the ball up, dribbling at defenders and getting past them.

When the fans are right behind me, it gives me confidence to do that.

He was in sparkling form against Rapid Vienna last Thursday night and followed that up with a similar display against Hearts yesterday, scoring the side’s opening goal of the afternoon.

There’s a long way to go between now and the end of the season, so we’ll need to see whether he produce the goods consistently deep into the campaign, but right now we’d be silly not to at least make initial preparations in an attempt to bring him to Glasgow permanently.
