Michael Beale declared his growing satisfaction at competition levels in the squad with the demolition of Hibs coming as a result.

The manager is adamant that those coming back from injury as well as the recent double signing of Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin has made a direct impact on the levels in training which was replicated in style at Easter Road on Wednesday evening.

There were pass marks all over the pitch for Rangers, so many positives and impressive elements to what was a complete performance. It was probably the best of the season to date, yes even better than Tynecastle.

Beale told BBC Radio Scotland Sportsound after the game in Edinburgh:

“The squad’s looking quite strong. We made five subs in one go there and they’re good players coming on and yesterday, John Souttar and Ridvan played in the B team to get some minutes as well so we’re in a good place squad wise and then the competition goes up and that competition within the squad makes the team stronger.”

“The results that we’re getting are not easy to get. We’re coming away from home in the league and we’re scoring a lot of goals and we’re looking a strong team at the moment. “

He heralded the spirit of his side to come back from a terrible goal to concede as well as singing the praises of his January double signing, Cantwell and Raskin who are clearly playing their part.

This was Rangers, Beale’s Rangers at their fluent best. It just all came together against a hapless Hibs who couldn’t handle the blue tide coming their way. Lee Johnson’s open approach was also a factor in the wave after wave of attacks that came their way.

If indeed this is a sign of Rangers growing strength in numbers, the level needs to be maintained after this stunning display.
