Quoted by BT Sport, via the Evening Times, Rangers summer signing Brandon Barker has revealed that he had options to sign for other clubs in the window but chose the Gers.
The winger scored his first goal for the club at the weekend before last and could well prove to be a shrewd arrival during his time at Ibrox.
Indeed, we’re perhaps not expecting him to be the most shining light in our squad but in that coming under the radar sense, he could prove to be one to watch.
He’s looking ready to prove himself in Glasgow, too, and he’s revealed that he had offers to go elsewhere but none of them really interested him.
He said:
“I had quite a few options down south.
“I had like three or four teams in the Championship but none of them was really in my heart.
“Rangers then got in contact and then within a day it was all done.”
It’s always good to hear that a player has chosen to come to us over English clubs as it shows the pull we still have for players.
He’s looking a bright talent, too, so let’s hope he kicks on.
