Rangers are looking to keep the pressure up in the title race this week as we face Kilmarnock this evening in the league.
It’s been a fascinating season so far with Steven Gerrard in charge and we have seen plenty of highs and lows.
However, the overriding feeling for me is one of positivity and I know that I am not the only one thinking that way.
With that said, then, it’s certainly nice to see pundits of differing allegiances praise our players – especially when it’s Chris Sutton.
Indeed, in an interview with Football Scotland, he has issued his verdict on Alfredo Morelos and has underlined the fact that he feels he is the best in the league in terms of strikers:
“I’ve said Morelos is the best striker in the league. I have to say, if we’re going to stand on television and speak freely in the newspapers, if we can’t say what we think (and of course there are boundaries, and there are times we can’t make it light-hearted), then it’ll just turn into a farce where nobody will say anything.”
Sutton has been outspoken at times and in this excerpt he is referring to that but he is also saying that ‘El Bufalo’ is the best in the division.
It’s hard to disagree with him, too, which is something you can’t often say.
