Rangers fans are concerned about options on the left side of defence after Borna Barisic was ruled out until January with a muscle injury sustained in yesterday’s clash away to St Johnstone.
The 26-year-old limped off in the first half against the Perth side, with manager Steven Gerrard confirming after the match that he will not take part in first-team action until after the mid-season winter break in January.
It’s a real concern considering Jon Flanagan has shown poor form of late and Lee Wallace is nowhere near full match fitness.
With huge games against Hibernian and Celtic this week, losing Barisic couldn’t be happening at a worse time.
It’s the third time this season that the Croatian has picked up an injury and some supporters are now growing worried he will be an injury prone signing.
Hopefully he can put these fitness issues behind him in the new year and fully reach his potential.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation…
Only thing worse than working tomorrow is Borna Barisic going off injured 😔

Barisic being injured again is frustrating. The number of injuries we have is concerning, does Gerrard need to change our style & approach?

We're just never gonnae see Barisic are we. One of those players who only shows us enough of his genius to frustrate the hell out us when he's perma-injured. So the club's got that covered – we don't need to re-sign Stevie Naismith next month.

Barisic now injured as well. I'd rather we had no luck than this.

Barisic injured and it seems he's been sidelined until January. Our bad luck has no limits
