Rangers have been linked with Jupiler Pro League striker Fashion Sakala, however, there is another in-form striker the Ross Wilson would do well to take a look at for more than one reason.
Yuma Suzuki currently plays for Sint-Truiden and has 17 goals and four assists in his 34 appearances this season, this is more than the 13 goals and three assists provided for Oostende by Sakala, however, the biggest difference is that the latter is available for free.
Suzuki has one year left on his contract in BelgSurprisium and has previously been linked with a surprise move to Iran, however, the 1.82m centre-forward would be capable of playing at a higher level, a £2million valuation would not be out of our price range.
He had respectable numbers in Japan and again, at 24-years old, with over 150 games in his senior career, he has a good level of experience.
An AFC Champions League winner with Kashima Antlers back in 2018. Suzuki enjoyed a stellar spell with the club.
His stats for Kashima:
✅151 Games
⚽️ 45 Goals
🅰️ 24 AssistsDespite this Suzuki is yet to make an appearance for the Japanese national team.

Suzuki is strong in the air at both ends of the park, something that would stand him in good stead in Scottish football and he also doesn’t waste shots by taking them from long range or with little chance of scoring, preferring to pull the trigger when in good positions as this graphic shows.
One of the biggest surprises of the season – Yuma Suzuki of @stvv
17 Goals and 3 assists now this season!
> 40% of team goals.
He is one of the primary reasons of @stvv avoiding relegation this season.
Would be interesting to see next season if he can keep his form. pic.twitter.com/ymI17uwGNY— SMukherjee (@DrMukherjeeS) April 8, 2021
He’s a good age, profile and price, it’s one of my most anticipated things to keep an eye on this summer, if Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe leave, who comes in to replace them?
