With the January transfer window nearing, the rumour mill at Ibrox is starting to hot up again – both in terms of arrivals at Rangers and potential departures – but one name will certainly cause a stir in the fanbase and that’s Lewis Ferguson.
The Scottish Sun have reported today that they understand we have lined up the Aberdeen player as a potential replacement for Glen Kamara given the speculation that surrounds his future at this moment in time.
Rangers fans may well remember Ferguson’s name (not just as the son of Derek, or nephew of Barry) as the 20-year-old saw a straight red card for a two footed lunge on Celtic’s Tom Rogic in last season’s Scottish Cup semi-final clash at Hampden Park.
Given he’s not exactly flavour of the month already, bringing him in during the next window would certainly amp up future Old Firm clashes, and it seems plenty would welcome our former youth graduate back.
Prob get some abuse but I’d take Lewis Ferguson, if we got a decent about price agreed. Davis isn’t getting any younger and good chance bids will come for Kamara. If we get £8m+ for Kamara, they would sell. Plus I think he’s a pretty decent player, their best player by a mile

I'd take him too but Aberdeen wont sell him to us, unless we're willing to pay stupid money

Lewis shouldn't have been allowed to leave when he was with us in his early days always had great potential along with barjonas, wilson, Wright etc

They were wanting about ten million for McKenna, they would demand something ridiculous for Ferguson too probably.

It’s fair to say not everyone is convinced though looking through the reactions.
