The Gers suffered the news that Daniel Candeias would remain suspended domestically yesterday after our appeal against his yellow card was rejected by the SFA.
The winger has had a good season so far I think and last month I felt as though he was one of our best players.
Certainly, he started November in good form too as he grabbed an important goal against St. Mirren but he also picked up a second yellow and was sent off at the end of the match.
For sure, tempers were frayed at the climax of the game but he didn’t really do anything that untoward – we just had a referee who, as usual, was eager to send off one of our players.
It’s been confirmed, then, that the appeal against the second yellow has been rejected:

We probably shouldn’t be shocked by this anymore, though, given what has happened even this season with certain decisions…
