According to the BBC among other outlets, midfielder Steven Davis is keen on a return to Rangers and it seems as though it is edging nearer to completion.
As per the report, the only thing that needs to be solved is whether he joins on loan or on a permanent from Southampton with his contract up at the end of the season.
Certainly, it would seem as though it would be an exciting signing for us but we should be cautious before getting too excited.
He’s a good player with fine experience at a high level but he is getting older and so we’ll have to temper expectations.
I think he will be a decent signing for us but I don’t think he’ll be the game-changer some are expecting him to be.
He’ll contribute but we shouldn’t pin all our hopes on him – just some of them. But that’s my view anyway.
