What Gerrard has had to say about selection in the run-up to Kilmarnock game

|

Rangers will have full focus on the league beginning once again this weekend as we take on Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon.

The Gers have got a real chance of winning the league this season, in my opinion, and this is a great early test to show that we mean business this year.

Kilmarnock is a tough place to go and they’ll be up for causing problems so the Gers need to be ready for what awaits them.

That in mind, then, it was interesting to note Steven Gerrard’s comments before the game with Progres to suggest that we can expect plenty of rotation for the side against Killie.

He said via the Express:

“I will be surprised if both XI’s for tomorrow and Killie [Kilmarnock on Sunday] are the same. Everyone is knocking on the door and pushing which is great for me.”

Certainly, it is good to see the squad is looking strong for this one and hopefully we can get off to a flying start by earning an early three points in the Premiership.

Not long to go now.
