I’m sure many of you have seen it and that’s Cristiano Ronaldo’s overhead kick last night for Real Madrid against Juventus.

He’s a class player there’s no doubt about it and the strike last night only underlined that with how well he executed it.

There have, for me, been better overhead kicks over the years from other players but the height he got on his jump combined with the connection he got still makes it one of the best strikes in recent times.

Naturally, though, we’re always going to compare it to overhead kicks we’ve seen in previous years and there’s certainly been a few for us over times gone by.

The club, then, posted a tweet asking Gers what they’re favourite overhead for us was and this was the response – some great goals in here – with my favourite being Dado’s against Fulham, though Super Ally and Ugo get more than worthy mentions in the replies:
