Former CEO of the SPL, Roger Mitchell, has been at it again, this time raising doubts over Rangers ability to see out the current economic crisis facing football clubs and survive long enough for football to return.
I just get a strong feeling with these delays that @RangersFC aren’t going to make it. They were already in dire financial straits. I can’t see how they survive this covid black swan. The question is: do they take the whole of Scottish football with them!! Critical days!!!

Barely a peep has been heard from Celtic supporting Mitchell since departing these shores but on an almost weekly basis throughout the SPFL’s handling of a resolution vote on the future of the 2019/20 season, he has been front and centre on Sky Sports making a series of unsubstantiated claims.
His latest tweet, and proclamation that Rangers were already in “dire straits” is a line frequently pedalled by Celtic bloggers despite the club being debt free and owning all of it’s assets. There is also the small matter of significant investment already in the pipeline, a share issue and a new kit deal set to be announced, never let a lie get in the way of a good story and all that.
Gers fans responded to his Tweet and it’s safe to say, they gave it the respect it deserved.
You have lost the plot looney tunes go nd get help

This is the guy who sunk the SPLs TV income by 90% and reduced all outside exposure of the game as well as introducing the end of season split.
Yeah, definitely a guy to listen to 🤦— Shanksy (@ShanksyRuns) May 6, 2020
It’s no wonder Scottish football is a shambles when this clown was in charge of it.

There is a well known saying that is relevant for this very situation – “if you want to know what is going on at Ibrox, ask a Celtic fan”, if they tell themselves something often enough, they truly start to believe it.
