After Rangers took a four one victory over Falkirk in the Scottish Cup quarter finals this afternoon, we have been rewarded with a semi final tie against Old Firm rivals Celtic.

The fixture at Hampden will be the third time we have met in succession in the competition, and the fifth semi final between both sides in four seasons.

Celtic took the honours last year in a two nil victory and they come through to this stage following a three nil win over Greenock Morton.

The the other tie, Motherwell meet either Aberdeen or Kilmarnock.

All ties will take place across the weekend of April 14 and 15.

Speaking to the BBC following the draw, Graeme Murty explained.

‘I thought we`d get them and if you want to win the cup you have to beat the best teams. I think we have the ability to go and beat Celtic. I see a team that has played lots of games and have hit the heights this season. But I see a team in my dressing room that is hungry to go and beat them.’
