The Scottish Premiership season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Here’s a round up of the Scottish Premiership action from the other games.

Sunday 19th March 2017 – SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Aberdeen prevented Celtic from sealing the title on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Hearts. The Dons – with a sixth win in seven – are well placed to finish as runners up though as they hold an eight point lead over Rangers.

Inverness were denied a crucial victory against Ross County. However, despite the late equaliser Caley’s 1-1 draw was enough to take them off the bottom of the league on goal difference.

An equaliser three minutes from time was enough for Kilmarnock to claim a 1-1 draw with Partick. Had Thistle held onto the lead they would have moved clear in the battle to finish sixth above Killie.

Relegation threatened Motherwell suffered a sixth defeat in seven when St Johnstone went away from Fir Park with a 2-1 win that took them up to fourth.

Pedro Caixinha got off to a winning start as Rangers boss with a 4-0 victory over struggling Hamilton, who dropped to the bottom of the Premiership as a result.

A 2-1 win at Dundee took Celtic to within a victory of securing a sixth successive Premiership title with the 25 point advantage over Aberdeen also restored.
