Vital Preview – Rangers v St Johnstone

Rangers are in Scottish League Cup action against St Johnstone at Ibrox on Tuesday, with this a 7:45pm kick-off.

Like Mark Warburton I’ll disagree that, despite being a Scottish Premiership side, St Johnstone will pose the ‘first big test’ to Rangers! It’ll be a test but a test the Gers will be up to, as we have the previous ones we’ve come through!

Warburton is set to name an unchanged squad once again with most options he could wish for available.

Nicky Clark might have returned to training but isn’t ready to return yet with David Templeton and Cammy Bell (both knee) still out too.

St Johnstone have Steven Maclean back, he missed the Kilmarnock game as he can’t play on ‘a synthetic surface’ but Darnell Fisher (bruised toe) is a doubt.

The Gers will hope for a positive result, to progress into the fourth round of League Cup but will this happen?

Whatever line up Warburton goes with expectancy will be high of at least one more tie, and ahead of the game we’re looking for your views on what way you think it will go, which obviously requires you to vote in the latest poll one of two ways….
