Rangers secured a four-nil win over Dumbarton in the Scottish Championship on Tuesday with the Gers’ game in hand win extending the lead to three-points over Hibernian once more. The, already superior, goal-difference was also improved upon!

It took time for Rangers to again breakthrough, as it was nil-nil at the break, but minutes into the second half Jason Holt scored and after that the Gers didn’t look back….

Martyn Waghorn added his latest goal of a truly productive debut season with the club to make it two on the hour with goals from sub Nathan Oduwa and Andy Halliday, his was from the penalty spot, making sure of the points.

Dumbarton’s Steven Saunders did see red late in the game as he picked up his second yellow card but the game was already long gone!
