No one gave Rangers any hope of getting anything out of the first game, but they did get a point and in actual fact it should have been so much more. Rangers were so unlucky not win an entertaining game at Ibrox.
Maurice Edu gave Rangers a deserved lead before then netting in the wrong end to give Valencia a point. The big man could have had a hat-trick of sorts had his first half shot not came off the post.
