In what seems like a long time coming, Alfredo Morelos looks to be close to the Ibrox exit door with the news coming out of France that Lille have agreed personal terms with the Colombian international striker, as reported by Sky Sports.
Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has agreed personal terms with Ligue 1 side Lille and the two clubs are now negotiating a fee for the Colombian international.

Morelos’s profile has risen dramatically over the last two seasons contributing directly to 80 goals, scoring 69 in the process, a sizeable hole should the club decide to cash in on their most valuable asset.
The timing of the proposed deal couldn’t be worse ahead of one of the most eagerly anticipated seasons in recent history with the first fixture of the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season against Aberdeen just a week away.
Gers fans have taken to social media in response to the news hoping that the club get value for money to provide much needed funds for Steven Gerrard as he looks to replace a player who is unlikely to be forgotten in a hurry.
If this Morelos transfer is happening then let’s see how good Ross Wilson really is. Fee and replacement need to be spot on for this season or we’re in trouble.

I would want to get Toney and Roofe in. We need at least 1 striker in at the moment, I think any fee we would get for Morelos, we would need to be getting 2 high calibre replacements. I’d also up the asking price due to the season start being less than a week away.

If Morelos is leaving then the minimum I’d be looking for is £15 million with add ons and a % of any future fee if and when he moves from Lille.
The boy will smash it, it will allow us to strengthen and replace.

There is never a dull moment when supporting Rangers and fans of the Light Blues will be hoping that Gerrard and Ross Wilson can secure replacements before Morelos departs Glasgow, going into the new season with no available number nine, hardly ideal preparation for such a big season – securing a club record transfer fee would go some way in helping the Gers gaffer fill the void.
