On Sunday morning, Rangers announced that over 32,000 loyal fans had now renewed their season tickets for the coming 2020/21 campaign, despite the risks and concerns that when next season does kick off, fans will not actually be allowed back into stadiums at that point following the Coronavirus outbreak.
On top of that, the MyGers membership scheme also topped 16,000, making it the largest scheme of that nature in Scotland.
With the deadline for season card renewals not ending until June 30, the numbers could be far higher as well, and given the financial implications caused by the 2019/20 campaign coming to a premature end, it’s certainly going to be a boost for manager Steven Gerrard as he begins to plan how to go one better next year.
Fans reacting to the announcement on social media certainly understood that the number of renewals stood as a great testament to the level of the support that we always get.

If we were in the EPL we could probably replace a stand if we wanted to. Shame to be turning people away because we dont have facilities for our support
