As quoted by the Express, Sky Sports pundit and Celtic fan Charlie Nicholas has admitted that Rangers are improving and that he is worried about the Gers for this season coming.

The men in Blue are back in pre-season training and have been in Portugal this week with some of the new faces getting the chance to bed in.

Certainly, the squad is looking in decent shape and it is hoped by many of us that some more signings are to come.

For sure, though, we’re having a better summer than Celtic with them struggling to get any signings done and a number of their players also leaving the club during this off-season period too.

Perhaps surprisingly, it has got the former Arsenal man worried about what could be a changing of the guard, at last, this season in Scotland.

“Rangers are improving in my opinion, they have improved.

“I was worried last year but I am a Celtic fan who does worry a little bit more than some others.

“You want to keep it going and I ask and demand maybe too much of them sometimes.”

Of course, it’s still early and they might go into the campaign as the bookies’ favourites, but I get the feeling momentum is shifting.
