Dundee United fans, according to reports last week are going to wear Craig Whyte masks at Saturday’s Scottish Cup tie at Tannadice.

My thoughts on this? I think it’s an excellent idea personally. If they all wear them it means we don’t need to look at their ugly mugs on Sky Sports on Saturday.

I mean let’s face it, Dundonians are hardly blessed with good looks are they? Do you think they have a couple of spare ones for Steven Thompson and Jackie McNamara as well?

As good an idea I think it is, in all seriousness, Rangers supporters association general secretary John McMillan has blasted the plans. He said:

“I was anticipating the United supporters doing something but I didn`t think they would stoop to this. It`s out of order and Dundee United as a club should do all they can to prevent their fans from carrying this threat through. The majority of Rangers fans will not be at the game and observe the boycott but unfortunately I`m certain some of them will go to Tannadice so this is a recipe for trouble.’
