Rangers’ squad is full of quality, but going forward, Steven Gerrard’s men do lack a bit of depth. They’ve been able to score without too many problems this term, but with so much emphasis placed on the likes of Alfredo Morelos, that’s not something that can be sustained long-term.

We recently made the case, then, that it might be time for Umar Sadiq to get another chance. He’s hardly featured this season, and whilst he’s not looked too good when he has played, the 21-year-old’s lack of opportunities means that he hasn’t had an extended run in which to prove his worth.

This, it seems, is a divisive topic for Rangers fans. We asked supporters whether he should get another chance, and of those polled, 56% believe that he should, whilst 44% believe the opposite.

Of course, despite the slight lean in favour of Sadiq getting another opportunity, the reality is that this is too close to call.

Many fans have clearly looked at his form so far this season and deemed him not good enough straight away, and whilst they’re well within their right to do that, others clearly feel as though it’s far too soon to do anything like that.

Sadiq clearly has talent, but so far, he hasn’t shown it. It’s that old issue of when is enough enough?

Steven Gerrard clearly will anger a decent amount of fans regardless of which option he picks, and it’s certainly a very tough call to make.

What do you think? Should he get another chance? Or has he had enough opportunities? Is he just not good enough? Let us know.
