Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is bound to have some attention on his old club Liverpool this weekend as they take on Tottenham in the Champions League final.

However, he’s also bound to be doing the work to get in the right sort of players to help us make our own splash next season domestically and in Europe, and it’s exciting waiting to see who’ll arrive.

According to Mark Hately, too, this summer window is bound to be a positive one, one way or the other.

In an interview with the Daily Record, the Rangers hero offered his insight into how he thinks this market could be a successful one for sure.

Speaking about the future of Alfredo Morelos, he said:

“Whether Alfredo stays or goes it is a win-win situation for Rangers. It’s a great problem to have and it’s not a problem we’ve had recently. You always want to keep players who score goals. There will be a number of clubs coming in for a number of Rangers players this summer – without a shadow of a doubt. It depends whether that number is the right number because everyone has a right number.”

Of course, losing Alfredo would be a blow but the money he would raise us could see some fine signings arrive at Ibrox.

And, if he stays on the flipside then we’ll have a 30+ goal striker ready to fire again next year.
