‘Touch of a lamppost’ – Many Rangers fans hate the idea of signing target after weekend display

|

Rangers fans aren’t keen on the idea of bringing Hearts forward Uche Ikpeazu to Ibrox this summer after watching him in action during today’s Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.

Ikpeazu was linked with a move to Steven Gerrard’s squad at the start of April, with both the Gers and Celtic said to be keen on the player making a switch to Glasgow.

On the face of it he had a decent showing today against Inverness CT in the national semi, scoring the opening goal and winning the penalty that led to Hearts’ third in a 3-0 victory.

Loads of Rangers supporters though reckon he doesn’t possess the right kind of footballing skill to be effective in the final third.

With Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos already at the club, we are well stocked for forwards, but would Ikpeazu give us a different kind of physical option if Gerrard’s starting match plan wasn’t breaking a team down?

These fans took to Twitter to discuss his potential signing…
