Plenty of Rangers fans are angry with the Scottish FA after they failed to take action on Kirk Broadfoot for dragging his boot down the back of Alfredo Morelos’ leg at the weekend.
As reported by STV, both Broadfoot and Morelos have escaped punishment after an incident heading into the tunnel at Ibrox on Saturday.
Video evidence appeared to show the Kilmarnock player sticking his studs into Morelos’ Achilles, with the Colombian subsequently reacting.
While supporters are happy for Morelos not to be cited by the compliance officer, many reckon that action should have been taken against Broadfoot, feeling it’s just further proof that the SFA and match officials are failing to protect Rangers players.
Have the decision makers at Ibrox completely avoided the whole thing to avoiding making a difficult call?
Ultimately it means Morelos will be available for the upcoming Celtic clash, but he didn’t do much wrong in the first place.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
Clubfoot is a disgrace of a player . Hopefully one day he will end up with egg on his face .

Morelos would have got time in the stand if the video of that dickhead Broadfoot rearranging his Achilles hadn’t emerged. Left the powers with a difficult situation, so they took the easy way out.

Completely ridiculous that Broadfoot never got cited, it really is open season on our players.

So the precedent is set, you’re allowed to intentionally draw your studs down someones achilles in order to provoke a reaction? Egg faced prick

Another farcical mess from the SFA as Kirk Broadfoot escapes a ban for trying to end a players career. Clueless clowns that do not deserve to be in the job.

If the press reported this properly then it’s understandable why Morelos pushed him away
A disgusting deliberate attempt to rake his foot down Alfredo’s Achilles
A cowardly attempt & not first time, he had done similar to Jack
The only one who should face action is Broadfoot https://t.co/HIqMKhp9kd

Kirk Broadfoot is a cheat. He raked his studs down Morelos’ achilles and then dived when he got pushed away, yet the media are once again trying to get Alfredo banned.
Welcome to Scotland, where local, ageing hammer throwers are valued over talented, young foreigners.
