Three Turkish clubs are interested in signing Rangers flop Carlos Pena this January, according to The Scottish Sun.
The former Mexican international, who was signed by Pedro Caixinha back in 2017, played just 14 times for the Gers despite arriving for a multi-million pound fee.
Earning a reported £20,000-a-week, fans would be eager to see him leave the club on a permanent basis after a number of failed loan moves back to his homeland.
Erzurumspor, Alanyaspor and Caykur Rizespor are all said to be interested in the 28-year-old.
Although his return to Glasgow recently sparked speculation he could make a renewed push to force his way into Steven Gerrard’s first-team plans, the imminent arrival of Steven Davis all but rules that out.
There is little room for a player like Pena in the starting eleven, with most fans probably opting to see a change in formation that the inclusion of the midfielder, especially after the signing of veteran striker Jermain Defoe.
Getting him off our books should be seen as a priority this January then, especially as he is earning a fair chunk of wages that could be put to better use elsewhere.
