New Rangers signing Kevin Thomson made his Rangers debut in a bounce game against Airdrie United in midweek.

Kevin Thomson got 23 minutes in the 3-0 victory over Airdrie United at their Excelsior Stadium. He got the biggest cheer of the night when he came on as a second half subsitute.

Veteran defender David Weir opened the scoring for Rangers after he was set up by Charlie Adam. The Rangers youngster whipped in a free-kick which was met by the head of Weir.

The second goal was scored by Chris Burke. The young winger who recently signed a new contract struck from 25 yards out, it was a goal good enough to win any game.

Goal shy Filip Sebo grabbed the third and final goal of the game. Sebo struck from inside the box after being set up by the excellent Burke.

The important thing though was that the players got a run out with no game at the weekend due to being out of the Scottish Cup. And it was good to see Thomson get his first taste of the action.
