While Alfredo Morelos and Josh Windass performed exceptionally well for Rangers, the Gers require greater creativity to augment their attacking options. Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi could be the perfect signing.

Despite finishing in third position and 12 points adrift of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, the Gers flaunted the best attack in the division. Over the course of 38 league games, Rangers amassed a creditable total of 76 goals, an average of two goals scored every game. If Steven Gerrard’s side are going to consolidate their reputation as the best-attacking force in the league, they require additional incomings, and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi could prove to be the best fit.

The 17-year-old rose to prominence at Chelsea last season, and his several brilliant performances at youth level resulted in opportunities with the Blues’ first-team. The teenager registered four first-team appearances for the FA Cup winners last season, and he could prove to be precisely what Rangers require.

In 32 appearances at both youth and senior level, Odoi contributed towards a stupendous total of 23 goals – scoring 17 and registering six assists.  In addition to his goal-scoring tendencies, the Chelsea starlet exhibits tremendous qualities. He is an excellent dribbler of the ball, and he can ease past opponents without a thought. In addition to his technical abilities, Odoi is a superb passer of the ball, who exhibits a mightily impressive range for such a young player.

While it hasn’t been reported that Rangers hold an interest in the Englishman’s services, his talent is evident for all to admire, and his arrival would significantly reinforce Gerrard’s attacking options. Given the competitive nature of Chelsea’s squad and the astonishing number of players that are contracted to the club, one assumes it would be comparatively simple for a club of Rangers’ stature to sign Odoi on loan.
