Yesterday evening’s 3-1 victory for Rangers over Rapid Vienna certainly gave fans plenty to shout about.

On a night of results elsewhere going our way, Rangers now sit pretty at the top of the Europa League Group G table and we remain unbeaten in European adventures so far in 2018/19.

You don’t need to go far these days to see the ongoing split in the fanbase about the relative merits of 22-year-old striker Alfredo Morelos, and fans were once again mixed on his overall performance last night.

He did score twice though and he won the penalty that James Tavernier converted, so he more than did his job and statistics website WhoScored gave him their star man award with a rating of 8.86 for his individual efforts.

26-year-old Tavernier almost beat him to the punch with his own showing seeing him given 8.83 following his penalty and the assist on the day for Morelos’ leveller and he can consider himself unlucky in many ways.
