Rangers have been linked with a move for Charlton Athletic striker Karlan Grant during the January transfer window.
The Scottish Sun say that the recruitment team at Ibrox see the talented 21-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Alfredo Morelos, who will likely leave for a bigger league over the next couple of years.
The paper reckon we are trying to sort out a pre-contract for the player, with his current deal at the League One side expiring at the end of the season.
The striker has been in good form this season and is well thought of amongst Charlton supporters. He’s scored 13 goals and assisted 5 more in 26 appearances, helping the club massively in their push for promotion from English League One.
With Alfredo Morelos, Kyle Laffery and Jermain Defoe already at the club, first-team chances would be difficult for the player this season but as a future signing he fits the bill.
Supporters appear keen to see him arrive at Ibrox, taking to Twitter this week to share their thoughts on a potential deal…
