Rangers were denied a clear goal at Rugby Park this afternoon, leaving many supporters fuming with the officials again.
Facing off against Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup, Steven Gerrard’s side should have found themselves ahead in the match far earlier than they did, after the ball clearly crossed the goal-line.
Fortunately Alfredo Morelos has risen to the occasion and put the Gers ahead 2-0 at half-time, but it’s been another shocking 45 minutes of officiating in Scottish football.
Killie have had their chances and the failure to see that we had scored a perfectly legitimate goal could have been costly.
Having also seen a penalty not given and a lack of protection for players on the receiving end of stiff challenges, many fans are fuming again with the SFA’s match officials.
It’s been a dreadful summer for their reputation and we can only hope this isn’t a trend that continues all season.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the first half incidents…

Linesman in a perfect position to see the ball go over the line – no goal.
Player injured due to artificial pitch.
Penalty denied.
All within the first 20 minutes.
Welcome to Scottish Football 🙃
