Tonight is about one thing – progression for Rangers through to the Group Stage of this year’s Europa League competition.

That doesn’t mean there are not numerous talking points from the 90 minutes that played itself out and whilst there’s oodles of praise to go around, there’s also some criticism given we saw two red cards shown for double yellow card offences.

I fail to see how anyone can defend Alfredo Morelos who set the tone on the day as he literally saw red and gained bookings seconds apart to leave us down to ten men, but being reduced to nine men as Jon Flanagan received a second yellow card – well, fans were more forgiving when it came to him.

Given his arrival at the club this summer split fans owing to his history, the fact I’d say only a small proportion rounded on him on social media in terms of what I’ve scanned through, probably shows how bad a decision the second card was given he challenged for a 50/50 and was deemed to foul the opposition player.

Down to each fan when they see it too judge for themselves, I guess.
