Scotland’s national side received a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Belgium on Friday evening and Rangers did have an interest in the game with midfielder Ryan Jack taking a place on the substitutes bench for manager Alex McLeish.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and a brace from Michy Batshuayi secured victory for them and Jack was introduced in the 53rd minute as the side trailed 3-0.
It’s harsh to blame the loss on Jack or imply he could’ve actually done much more given where the game was at when he entered play and depending on your standpoint, in the final half hour Belgium either took their foot off the gas given the halftime changes they made or Scotland’s changes did have some effect.
Jack definitely suffered though, for the part he played in their fourth goal on the day.
Ryan Jack's a poor man's Robbie Savage.!

Whether criticism would’ve been that harsh had it not been for their fourth is open to debate, but it wasn’t a good night for anyone so he shouldn’t take it to heart.
Given he was reportedly booed by some sections of the crowd before he even stepped onto the pitch – well, it’s not the best way to motivate somebody to their best, is it? If you want to follow Scotland, support Scotland – club rivalry is irrelevant.
