Rangers fans are incredibly worried about the form of Connor Goldson after last night’s Scottish Cup defeat to Aberdeen.
The centre-back was terrible in possession and shaky in defence as the Dons ran over us 2-0 to progress to the semi-final of the competition, leaving us at serious risk of yet another trophyless season.
The big players for Steven Gerrard in the first half of the season are now not turning up in big matches and it’s a real concern as we hurtle towards a gutting end to the season.
Goldson was imperious in his first few months at the heart of the Rangers defence but the 26-year-old has struggled over the last couple of months, with many now questioning his long-term future in the defensive line.
At the very least, many are calling for him to be dropped or rested, believing he looks fatigued and devoid of confidence.
Is it time for Gerrard to bring Nikola Katic back into the fold?

That performance was gutless, heartless and absolutely embarrassing! None of them stood put 2night but my God Connor Goldson was the worst player on that park. Tav & Candeias not 2 far behind. Plenty questions 2 be asked but I still back Gerrard. European and league has improved.

The sooner joe Worralls loan deal is over the better. Hope Goldson is only a season long loan too????????♂️

I never want to see Connor Goldson on the ball as much as he was tonight ever again

On tonight’s shambles there are very very few good enough or have enough about them to deliver for Rangers. I’m not a big fan of Worrall but Goldson has been worse for weeks, looks like he loses a yard each week. Midfield of no risks. Tidy and nice. Easily bullied.

Gerrard needs to start showing some balls & drop the likes of Tav, Candeias & Goldson. If he wants to survive he needs to dump the players letting him down.

I think goldson in holding tav back. Too slow on the ball. Too many sloppy passes. Tav sitting deeper to collect ball rather than playing higher up the wing
