There were plenty of talking points to come from Rangers’ 4-0 victory over Ayr United in midweek.
A rotated side gave a number of players the opportunity to impress and bring themselves further into manager Steven Gerrard’s thoughts this season and with goals coming from Nikola Katic, Alfredo Morelos as well as a Glenn Middleton brace, whilst they will, and have, taken the headlines from Wednesday evening’s action – Eros Grezda also took the opportunity to impress.
Having been missing for a while with injury following his summer arrival at the club, the 23-year-old was only making his second appearance for the club following his showing against Dundee earlier this month, and the Albanian’s speed stood out for plenty at Ibrox on the day.
The speed of Grezda!

Grezda is going to be fun here. A whippet.

Ryan Kent absolutely superb again, MOTM display. Middleton not far behind.
Ejaria fantastic also, utterly bossed that game and would have topped it with a goal had Kent and Middleton just squared it.
Grezda also looks very handy!

I like the look of Grezda ????????????

Once Grezda is settled in the team and fully match fit, he'll be a nuisance for teams. Kent and Mids kicking arse and Ejaria looking so smooth. Comfortable win.

Really enjoyable win tonight. Dominated throughout. Middleton answering any questions asked of him so far. Halliday, Ejaria & Kent all excellent. Thought Grezda improved as the game went on but still searching for sharpness. Onwards!

Grezda looks like his could do some damage through the middle. He’s looks strong enough to compete as well.

There should be plenty more to come from the player as he continues settling in, adjusting to life at the club and getting back to full fitness but at least at this early stage, given what we’ve seen so far, Gerrard has definitely signed another player that should be entertaining us for many years to come.
