Ryan Kent was back in the famous blue of Rangers this afternoon but it was an individual performance that was curtailed by injury.
The winger was signed to much fanfare and excitement at the end of the summer transfer window and we’ve all been looking forward to seeing him back at Ibrox.
However, a lack of match fitness seemed to show and it sounds as though he has pulled his hamstring – though the extent of the injury is not yet know.
Indeed, Steven Gerrard has offered this latest update and we’ll be looking for the club to provide us more updates in the coming days.
Quoted by the Express, the manager revealed:
“We’ll look at it over the coming days and see how it is.
“Hopefully it’s not bad, hopefully it’s okay and it’s not a really serious one.
“It’s a blow for us, we wanted it to be all about Ryan today and it wasn’t to be.”
A real blow for the winger, especially after he and we waited for so long to get the deal over the line.
He’ll be back, though, and hopefully not before too long after what essentially was a bit of an anticlimax for all involved.
