Rangers supporters are incredibly frustrated with captain James Tavernier after Tuesday night’s damaging Scottish Cup defeat to Aberdeen.

The Dons won 2-0 in the quarter-final replay at Ibrox, ending our best chance of lifting silverware, deeply bruising the hopes and dreams of Gers fans everywhere.

Still eight points behind in the Scottish Premiership, we have little chance of overhauling that gap, especially if we continue to play like we did last night.

We were dreadful throughout the 90 minutes and plenty feel that Tavernier is not showing enough leadership on the pitch to inspire his team to secure better results.

Some are even questioning whether he should be part of the squad at all moving forward, unhappy with his own defensive skills and frustrated by the bluntness of his attacking output at the other end.

Is the 27-year-old one of the biggest problems in Steven Gerrard’s first-team right now?
