Fraser Aird has said that he’s hoping the fans turn up in similar numbers next season as he believes they drove the players on this this season.

Speaking to the Official Site the 18 year old waxed lyrical about the support from the fans and how it made him feel in his break through season.

‘I thought the fans were different class this season and Rangers fans have always been brilliant. They do so much to help us. Without the supporters behind us this year, I don’t think we would have been able to achieve what we did. They created a brilliant atmosphere so I’d encourage them all to get behind us once again as they drive us on.’

As we head into the new season in a few short months, Aird believes that McCoist will strengthen us appropriately so we have the best chance possible of automatic promotion once again so overall the team will be stronger, but he knows the players need the fans behind them all the way.
