Rangers striker Eduardo Herrera has left the club on loan for the season, becoming the 11th player to leave the club since the end of last season.
The Mexican will return to his homeland to join Santos Laguna on a temporary basis, although the prospect of him ever playing for the Gers again seems slim. His exit at face value appears similar to Carlos Pena’s.
Herrera was one of Pedro Caixinha’s much-hyped signings last summer but failed to impress, scoring just two goals in 24 appearances for the club in 2017/18.
With Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq in attack, the first team squad is unlikely to miss his presence at all.
Steven Gerrard has wasted no time in axing what was a bloated, under performing squad and his latest decision to allow the exit of the Mexican is going down well with supporters.

Eduardo Herrera. What an absolute disaster of a signing

Herrera going in loan is better than nothing and hanging around, would have preferred a sale though, now for the others

Shows just how bad some of the signings we’ve made in recent times have been. We only seem to have exits via loans or termination of contract. Farewell Herrera. Another added to list.
