David Templeton has said he was delighted at full time last night, because Rangers built on our performance against Brechin last week but this time kept our foot on the gas for the second half and it showed with our dominance in the game.

Temps added the third on the night, before Shiels secured his hattrick in the second half to give us a four nil victory over Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup, and we booked our place in the Quarter Finals in some style.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, he said.

‘I felt we played really well in the first half. Last week it was the same but then faded. This week we took our chances and that gave us a comfortable lead going into half time. Thankfully we came out in the second half and did the same sort of thing. We managed to get another good goal and we could’ve won by even more. The third goal was crucial because it killed them off.’

Templeton goes on to say that with how the second half against Brechin went, everyone knew the importance of actually putting in a full 90 minute shift again, as it has been a while since we did that and not only did the players want to prove they could again, but they knew how important it was for the fans to see an overall performance like that again.

The draw for the quarter finals will take place at 2pm on Sunday following the match between Dundee United and St Mirren.
